Why I am an Artist...
My artistic practice is a journey of boundless exploration and intentional creativity. As both an artist and educator, I re-imagine traditional art learning by fostering environments where children are empowered to discover and embrace their unique creative voices.
My approach transcends conventional artistic boundaries, treating art as a fluid, experimental language. I explore diverse mediums—digital media, film, plants, wire, and light—to challenge perceptions and uncover beauty in unexpected connections. Each piece I create is an invitation to see beyond the familiar and to find meaning in the extraordinary.
In my studio, art becomes a sanctuary for personal expression. Creativity is not confined to technique but is rooted in emotional discovery, imaginative freedom, and a sense of safety. Through carefully designed programs, I guide young artists to trust their instincts, take creative risks, and embrace art as a profound form of personal storytelling.
My mission is to nurture not just technical skills but creative spirits—helping children recognize themselves as inherently artistic, capable, and deeply valued.
I am currently teaching young minds to be creative and to have a love creating as much as I do! Along with being the Chairman of the Children's Festival of the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival in Pensacola Florida.
Thankful to those who have helped along the way. You will always be so special to me.
